Trailblazers in workplace equality
Workplace equality is ingrained in the very foundations of Williams Winter. As the “Winter” in our name testifies, we are proud of our long standing tradition of workplace equality, diversity and inclusion and currently have a majority of female staff.
Mary Josephine Winter (known to all as Molly) was a pioneer of Victorian Law. She was an Arts and Law Graduate in the 1930s from the University of Melbourne and was one of the first women to practice law in Victoria. She joined Williams Winter in the early 1950s and became one of the first female Partners of a legal practice in Victoria and remained a partner until the mid 1980s. Molly blazed a trail for women in the law and for the future Partners of Williams Winter.

Our participation
We encourage community participation, and have supported a range of clubs and associations throughout the years, and have had a long standing association with the RSL. Our staff participate in the following fund raising activities including Movember, Biggest Morning Tea, Jeans 4 Genes, RSL Poppy Day Appeal, Daffodil Day, Christmas in July in support of Melbourne City Mission (homeless youth) and casual dress Friday's in support of various, staff nominated charities.
Kathryn Liddell (Principal) is registered with the Cancer Council Legal Referral Service and provides pro bono legal advice to those who require assistance through the Cancer Council.
