As a result of her volunteer work with the Family Law Assistance Program, Ellen developed an interest in family law and knew that this was the area of law in which she wished to forge her career. She is aware that many clients are conscious of costs and has a focus on conducting family law dealings in an efficient and effective manner.
Ellen attended Monash University and in 2009 completed a Bachelor of Arts (major in psychology). In 2012 she completed a Master of Laws (Juris Doctor). She was admitted to practice law in 2013. Shortly afterwards Ellen commenced her legal career with a boutique family law firm in Melbourne.
Working solely in family law has equipped Ellen with the necessary skills that ensure that clients receive accurate and timely advice. Ellen is a very capable lawyer who has broad based experience in drafting court documents, briefing counsel, attending mediations and making court appearances.
Ellen commenced with Williams Winter in early 2015. She was attracted to the firms’ wide breadth of experience and states “I am looking forward to working closely with Cathy and Ellie. Their combined family law experience, expert guidance and mentorship will assist me in further refining my skills. In turn, this will enable me to assist my clients to achieve the best possible outcome”.
In January 2018 Ellen was made an associate of the firm.
